A pool that looks clean can still have a dangerously off-balance LSI — which means it is quietly corroding your plaster, etching your tile grout, or building up stubborn calcium deposits on your surfaces.An LSI below -0.3 means your water is aggressive and corrosive — it will leach calcium from pool surfaces and leave them pitted and rough. An LSI above +0.5 means the water is scaling, depositing calcium on every surface it touches. Our goal is always to keep your pool's LSI between -0.3 and +0.3, right in the comfort zone where water is balanced and protective. Every week, our pool service technicians calculate the LSI before and after making chemical adjustments.
